Windsurfing: Praia do Bilene, Mozambique Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: 23knots Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 24 Sea Temperature: 24 Weather: Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Fantastic. Bilene is paradise. White sand, palm trees, clear, flat water in
all directions.
First sail with the Ezzy. Brilliant. Started at about 10 am and sailed
until about 1.30. Beautifully powered, never too much. The wind built and
then steadied. Awesome flat water blasting.
Lagoon mouth was open so depth in the shallow section (up to 50m from
shore) is roughly knee to thigh deep.
Deep section provided some nice 1 ft swell for chop-hops on a port tack.
Interspersed the sailing with a few teaching sessions (the girls were
learning on an old mistral classic).
Had a second session after lunch until it was almost dark. Gybes were clean
and aggressive. The ezzy is light and maneuvarable and has a beautifully
smooth power curve.
Ahhh, paradise.
4 stars. As good as it gets on flat water.
